PROJECT 3 / CHANNEL IDENT

INSTRUCTIONS

Project 3: Channel Ident Continuing with Project 2 (Channel Bumper), this task required us to create an introduction for the product of our chosen brand.

Progress
I was satisfied with my P2—Channel Bumper, so I decided to reuse the entire segment, adding a few additional elements for enhancement.

I chose the top three popular flavors of Fanta: orange, grape, and strawberry. In my storyboard, picture 2 originally depicted the can changing colors as it moved after being pushed out. However, I realized that this transition would be too quick and chaotic. I focused on the flavor change occurring after the explosion to simplify and enhance clarity.

Each flavor is allocated two seconds for presentation.

Next, I added Fanta's slogan to help the audience remember the brand and better understand the video's message.

Lastly, I combined them all together.

FEEDBACK

General Feedback:

  • Channel Ident is more about introducing the brand's product.
  • You can use back the idea you have in P2 - Channel Bumper.
  • Estimating the timing at the beginning is important for making adjustments as you work.

REFLECTIONS

This project was an interesting experience. Although it was a continuation of Project 2, it took a completely different direction. While the channel bumper in Project 2 focused primarily on the brand name, the channel ident in Project 3 aimed to give the audience a deeper understanding of the brand. The most challenging part for me was managing the timing. Every time I adjusted one part, I had to review and readjust all the combinations to ensure everything worked cohesively.
