Project 02B - Poster Design

Final Poster:

Figure 3.1 Maybank Final Poster

Title: "Before The Storm"

Summary:

The concept of this poster draws inspiration from the yin-yang philosophy. Two tigers are positioned on opposite sides, locked in a captivating gaze, poised for battle at a moment's notice. The letter 'M' represents the sun. It was also the judge of this war. M= Maybank.

The poster's composition, setting, and colors draw inspiration from the rich tapestry of Greek mythology.

Reflection

I have explored more layers, colors, and filters in this project to create a double exposure. I'm a changeable person. I consciously selected elements like clouds, rain, waves, and a grey background to represent my unpredictable emotions. The prominent placement of large hands on my head symbolizes the presence of external influence or control over me.

For P02, I focused on addressing Sustainable Development Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation. My first idea involved the concept of yin-yang. It depicted the struggle between the negative aspect (unfiltered water) and the positive aspect (filtered water), where only one can ultimately prevail. In my second idea, I visualized the act of washing away, akin to taking a shower to cleanse ourselves of dirt and impurities. I portrayed a tiger seeking refuge under the rain, which effectively washed away the stain of unfiltered water, revealing its fur as a symbol of filtered water.

Overall, I found great satisfaction in working on this project.
