INSTRUCTIONS

Project 2: Jump Animation This project requires creating a jump animation that moves the character from one position to another.

Progress

Animator's Survivor Kid

Figure 1. 1 Reference

I posed the character based on the reference and followed the timing provided in the Animator's Survival Kid.

After posing, I moved its positions based on the timing.

Trail Out

After getting the feedback, I adjusted the heel and changed the timing.

I tilted the heel upward slightly before landing to create a more natural and realistic motion.

Figure 1.5 Heel Adjusted (Before and After)

I made a few trails in different timings for the landing part. In some versions, the arms don't swing at the right time.

Final Outcome

FEEDBACK

  • Landing poses to follow through feels shower.
  • Toe up should quickly flat down.
  • Check the timing.

REFLECTIONS

This project is similar to Project 1, but the difference is that this project requires the character to move to another position. The most challenging part for me was timing the landing. The landing needed quicker timing because as the character descended, the speed accelerated, making the landing faster compared to the upward jump.
