ADVANCED ANIMATION
PROJECT 1
INSTRUCTIONS
Project 1A: Walk Cycle Animation Based on the Fundamental Animation module, create a vanilla walk cycle in Blender. Animate the character walking in place at 2 steps per second, using pose-to-pose for key actions and straight-ahead for added flexibility. Following the walking exercise from the Fundamental Animation module,

I want to create a cool, confident walking pose. To highlight the character's swagger, I made his face show an expression that looks very punchable.
After feedback from my lecturer, I realized I missed the up-and-down movement in the walk. I refined the animation using the Graph Editor to make it more natural.
After the feedback, I adjust the arm and wrist to create the swing movements.

FEEDBACK
- Use Blender's Graph Editor to smooth out the walking animation. It’ll help you adjust the up-and-down motion more easily for a steady, consistent flow.
- If you have more time render the background.
- The down movements are not there yet. (Attitude Walk)
- Adjust the arms and wrists to create a swinging motion as they move. (Attitude Walk)
REFLECTIONS
This project helped me gain experience using Blender to create animations with 24 frames and the Graph Editor, which refined the character’s movement for more natural actions. One challenge I faced was plotting the character in each pose and sometimes forgetting to keyframe after making adjustments, which meant I had to adjust the pose again. However, the Graph Editor saved time by simplifying the adjustment of the up-and-down movements.
