Project 1 / Audio Dubbing

Exercise 01: Audio Dubbing
In this project, we have been provided with a silent video clip. Our objective is to add audio elements while altering voices to create diverse male and female characters. Additionally, we aim to enhance the overall experience by incorporating suitable sound effects and ambient sounds that align seamlessly with the scenes in the video.

Project 1: Exercise 2 Sound Shaping
"For this project, we were required to record our own sound for five seconds. We could talk about anything. After this, we had to use it for audio editing and sound shaping. The voice needs to have effects applied to simulate a call, a voice coming from inside a closet, a toilet, an underground cave, and an alien or orc voice."

I adjusted the pitch, lowering the pitch at the beginning and end while boosting the highs in the midrange to achieve a phone call sound.

REFLECTION

Creating this video was a day-long endeavor, involving the meticulous search for suitable sound effects and their precise synchronization with the visuals. Despite encountering initial setbacks while grappling with unfamiliar settings, I found immense satisfaction in the creative process. I need to constantly focus on the minutiae, ensuring that every detail is seamlessly melded together.

Upon completing the arduous editing process, a sense of fulfillment washed over me as I beheld the astounding transformation of a once-silent video into a captivating auditory experience, achieved through sound effects.
